| What do we do when it rains in Spain? And how did we end up in Spain, anyway? |
|
We arrived Frankfurt last saturday, not realising that Easter Holidays were commencing. We wanted to spend a couple of weeks in Greece before continuing to Croatia. But there were no cheap package tours available. Instead we bought eurail tickets, and went to Paris. Paris was nice, but cold and expensive, thus we decided to go south. Right now we are staying in Barcelona. Due to Easter, the city is full, but we hawe managed to get a small room in a hostel. Although Barcelona is cold and rather expensive too, there is no point in trying to go further south until easter is over. The further south, the more difficult to obtain accomodation.
There are lots of things to see and do in Barcelona. By now we have tried all the Metro lines, and one of the local trains :-) And we have opened an account in an internet cafe, which makes it reasonably cheap to update this dictionary, check e-mail and surf the web :-)) In other words, we are doing more or less the same as we have been doing in other big cities around the world.
The next couple of days will be spent seeing the sights around here, before we continue south.
